Marjorie Taylor Greene says sorry for embracing Trump’s ‘toxic politics. Guess even a broken clock can try to save face

Whether Marjorie Taylor Greene has shifted her views or gained additional insight, she has recently been unrelenting in her vocal criticism of Donald Trump.
In the last couple of months, Marjorie Taylor Greene has emerged as one of the most prominent critics of Donald Trump and his administration, despite being a member of the same party and having been one of his strongest supporters during last year’s election campaign and the early months of his presidency. Time and again, MTG has spoken out against Trump’s policies, including his tariffs, which she believes are adversely affecting Americans and their relationships with other countries. She has also voiced her dissatisfaction with the rising cost of housing, which has led to higher rents and prices, making it unaffordable for many.
Recently, Marjorie Taylor Greene has been discussing the Republican government’s, or more specifically, Congress’s failure to come up with a replacement for Obamacare, which she feels heavily burdens the working class with high premiums and inadequate medical services. Above all, MTG has been persistent in her efforts to push for the release of the controversial Epstein Files, despite facing significant pushback from Donald Trump and her fellow Republicans.
Marjorie Taylor Greene’s decision to go against her own party and Trump has caused resentment among the MAGAs, who have recently been attacking her with strong words of criticism, particularly on social media. The situation has escalated to the point where she is now receiving death threats from individuals, especially after Trump tweeted about her on Truth Social, calling her a “traitor.”
MTG is bringing attention to this issue and more during a recent exclusive interview with CNN, the clips of which have even made their way to social media platforms like X (formerly Twitter), where there has been considerable discussion surrounding the topic.
One person on the platform commented:
“Marjorie is the canary in the coal mine for MAGA. She’s smart and self serving with inside information. If she’s jumping ship, it’s only because it’s sinking.”
Another person wrote:
“Haha, it’s an EXCELLENT point Dana Bash just made: she wasn’t concerned about the nasty personal attacks leveled by trump until SHE was on the receiving end. Let’s see what she does with her realization of the toxicity, or is she looking for a way back in.”
During the same interview, when asked by the interviewer why she hadn’t spoken out in defence of the many people Donald Trump directed his hate towards before it was directed at her, Marjorie Taylor Greene acknowledged the criticism and apologised for participating in “toxic politics.” She also mentioned that she would like to see people being kinder to one another from now on.
