Philadelphia Dad Almost Refused to Get Another Stuffed Toy in Target for His Daughter. Then, He Saw a Bunny Plushie 'What's One More Stuffy

Kids grow up so fast, and many parents get emotional about it. One day, they’re barely walking, and in the blink of an eye, they’re already running off for the first day of school. Frank (@civilianhummer1) on TikTok shared a story about his trip to Target that made many parents on the app shed tears.

Frank works near his local Target. He called his daughter, who was seven years old, and asked her if he wanted her to grab anything for her in the store. His daughter had a simple request—she wanted another “stuffy.” Many children love stuffed animals and plush toys, but Frank’s daughter already had a lot.

“You don’t need any more stuffies. You already got like, a hundred stuffies,” Frank told his daughter over the phone.

“I can make room, Dad,” she said. Frank was unconvinced until he went into Target and saw a big bunny. Evidently, Frank got his daughter the floppy-eared bunny plush, as it was sitting and buckled up on the passenger’s seat of his car.

“And I know it’s gonna go so fast, and that there’s gonna be a time very soon that she calls and asks for anything but a stuffy,” Frank said. He was starting to tear up at the realization that his daughter is growing up.

“So, what’s one more stuffy?” Because of that realization, his daughter got another stuffy in her collection. Who would’ve thought a trip to Target would be such an emotional rollercoaster? The tender moment went viral on TikTok, garnering more than 15.5 million views. Frank’s relatable scenario induced tears from many social media users.

A great Target ad

One social media user commented, “Sir. It’s 7:00am. Why are you making me cry over a stuffed bunny.”

Another complained, “As soon as you showed that damn rabbit I started crying.”

Somebody else said, “My 10mg of Lexapro isn’t enough for this.”

A person joked, “Blink and it’s gonna be something from Sephora! LoL.”

But aside from the hoard of people online crying about the situation, others shared their parenting experiences as well.

One dad said, “Our babies are in their 30s, I would give anything to buy one more stuffy.”

Meanwhile, another dad posted a photo of his daughter, who looked like she was below ten years old. He said, “It goes so fast.” His daughter is now 24.

A commenter who claimed to be a nurse wrote, “I’m a pediatric ICU nurse of 10 years. I’ve seen a lot. Buy the stuffy.”

One social media user gave meaningful advice. She said, “I am BEGGING you to save this until she’s old enough to watch it. Because… to see how much someone loves you is so so important. And it’s so insanely visible in your eyes.”

But being a parent doesn’t stop when kids are young. As one commenter puts it, “My daughter is 22 and I still make her Easter basket.” The relationship might change, but parents have a lifetime to be there for their kids.

The clip was so viral, it even reached Target. The official account of the retailer commented on TikTok, “send us a dm we’d love to add to your daughters’ collection!” They suggested sending three more plushies for his daughter because of the touching video.

The TikTok makes for a great Target promotion, even though it was unplanned. When parents see stuffies in the aisles, they might remember Frank and think about giving their kids the small toys and trinkets they asked for. But then again, what’s one more stuffy to a parent if it means seeing their child smile?
