‘MAGA’ elderly man sees Black woman at Goodwill, then allegedly berates her white boyfriend for dating her: ‘Called us apes’
A couple's interracial relationship allegedly troubled one man in Georgia.

An interracial relationship isn’t a new concept, but the very idea of it supposedly makes some people cry. That was nearly the case for one Black woman shopping with her boyfriend at a Goodwill in Macon, Georgia, who alleged that a white elderly man made racially offensive comments about the couple and berated her boyfriend for being in an interracial relationship.
“Sadly racism is still alive even when they’re halfway dead,” @vixenunfiltered wrote in her caption, accompanied by a video of the alleged incident shared on TikTok. In the video, vixenunfiltered appeared to approach a Goodwill staff member before claiming that a white man had approached her boyfriend and told him, “Out of all the white women in the world, you choose a Black woman,” before further insulting Black women by likening them to a primate species.
vixenunfiltered and the staff member then confronted the man who allegedly verbally attacked the couple unprovoked when they were only out shopping. “Right here. Nasty motherf*****,” vixenunfiltered said. “Called us ‘apes.’”
Black woman says verbal attack was unprovoked
The elderly man appeared to try to explain his side of the story. However, his response was unintelligible in the video, but he seemed to deny making the remarks while also repeating the same remarks vixenunfiltered accused him of making.
vixenunfiltered then asked the man why he was “worried” about a white man dating a Black woman, before telling him that she should “knock your a** over,” while the man allegedly challenged vixenunfiltered to do so. The confrontation soon turned heated, and a staff member had to step in between them.
vixenunfiltered emphasized that the alleged racist remarks hurled at the woman and her boyfriend came out without provocation—an occurrence that is, unfortunately, not as rare as it should be. “Nothing happened. Absolutely nothing happened,” she said. “Nobody said anything to your nasty a**.”
What happened after the confrontation remains unclear, including whether the situation escalated to police involvement or what ultimately happened to both parties. The public, on the other hand, sided largely with vixenunfiltered, praising her for standing her ground.
“I’m sorry he said that foolishness to yall. I admire the way you stood up for yourself Queen behavior,” one commenter wrote. Another added, “Sorry you have to deal with this, he’s unhappy, most likely have never been loved so they become mean and nasty.”
Public says racism was heightened with the Trump administration
The incident was also shared by verified X user @LongTimeHistory, who described the man as “MAGA,” as the public attributed the supposed racism to the current administration’s alleged support for it. “Trump world = racism with no consequences,” a commenter wrote.
A second commenter said, “MAGA is hate.” While some were unsurprised by the alleged racism coming from the older generation: “Grandpa Ranty – stupid and racist. It’s no coincidence that those two characteristics often appear in one person.”
Others claimed that such remarks aren’t an isolated case when it comes to interracial relationships, with one saying, “Unfortunately, as a Hispanic woman married to a black man, I have experienced something similar to this, but coming from black women, most of the time.”
Donald Trump’s return for a second presidency may have emboldened individuals, particularly his supporters, to be more open in expressing their dislike for others. The Guardian reported that since the start of his second term, Trump has enacted laws that go against supporting people of color, including ending “wasteful” government programs like diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives, and most notably, his mass deportation operations that saw deaths and families broken.
Trump himself reportedly made racist, sexist, and xenophobic remarks throughout his presidency during press meetings, speeches, and on his social media platform, Truth Social. With a national leader allegedly promoting racism, it’s unlikely that stories involving such hate will end anytime soon in the U.S.
