It’s been two years since the first Knights of Badassdom trailer was first released, which is so long ago that we completely forgot it was even a thing. It still is, though, and even better, it’s finally got a release date for movie theaters. Well… sort of. But hey, at least someone will finally get to see it, right?
The movie stars Peter Dinklage, Ryan Kwanten, Summer Glau, Danny Pudi, and Steve Zahn as LARPers who accidentally summon an actual succubus from Hell in the middle of one of their campaigns. It was directed by Joe Lynch way back in 2010, but has since been taken over and heavily edited by Indievest Pictures CEO Wade Bradley. Â
Their new distributor, Entertainment One films, released the below announcement recently:
So mark your calendars, kids! The movie will be available to screen on January 21st in select theaters with Tugg, a website that allows you to book screenings as “events” by pre-selling tickets at participating movie theaters. It will also be released on February 11th on Demand and Digital, which is where more people will probably see the film, we’re guessing.
In case you have no idea what we’re talking about, here’s the original trailer, which was released for Comic Con in 2011. To put that in perspective, Game of Thrones‘s first season had only ended the month before, and Dinklage hadn’t won his Emmy yet.

- Peter Dinklage visited Sesame Street recentlyÂ
- He’ll also be in the upcoming Days of Future Past
- Man, remember when Game of Thrones was just a glimmer in HBO’s (and also George R.R. Martin’s, duh) eye?
