R.I.P. Jeffrey Catherine Jones, the “Greatest Living Painter”

so long and thanks for all the fish

Jeffrey Catherine Jones was an illustrator, comics artist, and transwoman; and she was described as the “greatest living painter” by famous fantasy illustrator Frank Frazetta himself. She died early this morning at the age of 67.

This clip is from a documentary being edited about her life and career, by filmaker Maria Cabardo. You can see many Jones’ paintings, drawings, and comics here.

She's spoken at events like Geek Girl Con, New York Comic Con, and Comic Book City Con, wants to get a Batwoman tattoo and write a graphic novel, and one of her canine teeth is in backwards.
