Iron Fist Gets a Release Date, Mark Your Calendars Accordingly

Remember when it was announced that Netflix was getting an Iron Fist series? Well, now we have a date for it. In a clear sign of the times, the streaming service made the announcement via a short teaser because simple posters or press emails are so last decade.

The story follows billionaire Danny Rand (played by Finn Jones) who, much like Oliver Queen, has been missing for a few years and finally returns to New York City because he wants to “reconnect with his past and his family legacy,” as Coming Soon put it.  He’ll take on the evil doers corrupting his home thanks to his mastery of kung-fu and the fact that he’s able to summon the power of the Iron Fist.

The series, set to premeire on March 17, 2017, also stars Carrie-Anne Moss as lawyer Jeri Hogarth, Jessica Henwick as Colleen Wing, David Wenham as Harold Meachum, Jessica Stroup as Joy Meachum, and Tom Pelphrey as Ward Meachum.
