Iowa man claims hairstylist was ‘the rudest,’ but then she came to TikTok with her side: ‘This guy is a full-on creep’
A self-proclaimed rapper who allegedly called out an Iowa hairstylist for being “rude” is now facing some accusations of his own after the hairstylist took to TikTok to respond to his video. In a viral video, the hairstylist labeled the man a “full-on creep” and claimed that he started rapping and generally being disruptive while other customers were in her salon.
A video posted by McKenna, who goes by “Ken_hairstylist” on TikTok, shows the man seated in the salon chair with the stylist behind him. “My hairstylist, by far, was the rudest hairstylist I have ever had,” the man says, as the stylist continues to work. “She was mean to me the entire time,” he continues, then asks, “What’s your name?”
While both the customer, whose name was later revealed to be Chris, and the stylist appear to be smiling in the video, this wasn’t a case of playful banter between the two, as the rest of the video would reveal. The man also warned others to stay away from the hairstylist due to her apparent rudeness.
There are certainly some bad and rude hairstylists out there; however, in a clip that was evidently recorded at a later time or date, McKenna provided her side of the story. “So, I’m the rude hairstylist,” she said, as she showed that the chair and setup behind her was the same as in the video.
McKenna claimed she wanted to give her two cents, claiming that Chris was an “up-and-coming rapper” who she believed was “trying to get content, trying to tick small-town hairstylists off.”
McKenna gives her side of the story
The hairstylist claimed that it was Chris who had acted rude while in the salon. She said he was “disruptive” and “disrespectful.” McKenna claimed that her co-worker had a client who was nine years old, and that Chris’ behavior was not OK. When challenged by the workers, McKenna said he claimed that he was autistic, but she said that’s “not an excuse.”
The man allegedly also told McKenna he knew she had a boyfriend, “so you’re not going to be my wife.” However, McKenna claimed that he later posted about her on his story, tagged her in stuff, and even followed her boyfriend, leading her to label him as a “full-on creep.”
McKenna showed Chris’ story in which he seemed to walk back his remarks he’d made in the earlier video, but she claimed his behavior was still somewhat concerning, saying, “I don’t know what this man is capable of.” Things only got more worrying for McKenna as she claimed he mentioned to her that he knows how to shoot guns.
Since making her video, it seems Chris’ Instagram has disappeared. In an update, McKenna told her viewers, “I think this guy needs help, I think he needs to go seek some help.” However, she claimed she wasn’t going to let others make her feel bad for him.
