If U.S. Cities had Kept Their Original Names

Daniel Geduld put together this great map of the U.S. if some of its biggest cities had kept their original names. Some of the changes aren’t all that big — “Great Salt Lake City” vs. “Salt Lake City” isn’t earth-shaking, nor is Nouvelle-Orléans vs. New Orleans — but it’s tough to imagine Microsoft setting up shop in Dewamps, Washington, or the San Antonio Spurs if their home base was called Yanaguana.
