Former Alcoholic Gives a Glimpse of What a Friday Night in His Prime Used to Look Like 'I'm Loosey-Goosey and I'm Feeling Good'

Going out on a Friday night for drinks can be fun, but Casey Johnson (@caseyis____) used to take it to an extreme back in the day. Johnson shared what an average Friday night looked like as a former alcoholic.

“I would start around 4:30 or 5:00 after work, and I would immediately down a bottle of wine,” Johnson told TikTok. He said that the first drinking session would last until six in the evening. Johnson also disclosed that before he would go to dinner, he would take two to three shots of vodka for an extra mood boost.

Johnson said during dinner with friends at seven, he didn’t eat food—he stuck to drinking alcohol. He explained, “I wouldn’t want to waste that stomach space on food and be bloated and tired when I can just keep on drinking.” During the course of dinner, Johnson said he would have two to three glasses of wine, as well as three to four more shots of alcohol—this was on top of all the other drinks he’d already drunk.

“So now, we’re starting to ramp up because we’re going out after, right? Let’s get this engine started,” he said. At this point, he already had an assortment of alcohol in his system, but he wasn’t about to go home just yet. By nine to ten at night, he would be out with friends at the bar, ordering more vodka and more shots.

“Every 20 minutes, vodka water, vodka water, sometimes doubles,” Johnson said. He’d take tequila shots too, but mostly vodka water throughout the night.

A hodgepodge of alcoholic drinks later, he’s still going strong

“I feel like Mike Tyson. I’m floating around the dance floor. Next thing you know, I’m loosey-goosey, and I’m feeling pretty good,” Johnson said. By 11:30 p.m., Johnson describes being less cognizant.

“I don’t know where I’m at—I don’t know what my name is anymore. I’m telling stories, I’m telling lies,” he explained. Nevertheless, Johnson, in his drunken state, was already thinking about crashing in someone’s place to continue partying. He said he planned to invite people to his place because he already had a couple of bottles of vodka and wine bottles waiting at home.

“I would invite anyone and everyone. Whoever wanted to keep partying, let’s go,” he continued. When the bars died down at midnight, that’s when Johnson would bring strangers over to his place. They would plug up the aux, continue drinking, and dance at their afterparty. While this ex-cat burglar cautiously secured her home against break-ins, Johnson was inviting strangers into his home and downing another bottle of wine and vodka for himself until five in the morning.

“What’s really embarrassing is that sometimes, around six or seven in the morning and everyone’s gone… I would start digging for anything in my fridge that was alcohol-related,” Johnson confessed. He said he would drink Bailey’s or leftover beers. But if he didn’t find any alcohol, he’d go to the liquor store at eight in the morning.

When the high wears off, the shame sets in

Johnson shared an embarrassing run-in with a neighbor during one of these frenzied weekends. He said, “The person who lived across me in 2021 was a doctor.” He recalled that as he rode the elevator, he observed the doctor was prepared to go to work.

“I was riding down the elevator to get liquor, and the doctor was clearly on their way to work to save lives. You wouldn’t talk about feeling ashamed of yourself,” Johnson said. Some people hide their drinking problems, only for their loved ones to discover the bottles and the mess once they’re long gone.

“If that sounds like you, you’re not alone. Reach out to someone,” Johnson advised those who resonated with his story. Nevertheless, Johnson has recovered, and even the mention of vodka on TikTok had him gagging.
