Ex-Server Shares the Chili’s Menu Hacks That Can Save Customers Money Without Losing Portion Size: ‘That’s So Good’
She claimed the 3 For Me is the best deal at Chili's.
In today’s economy, “money-saving” hacks have become a trend many have become eager to learn how to chip a few bucks off their bill. Former Chili’s employee @wtf.is.rihannasnewalbum shared in a video on TikTok some of the ways customers can save a few dollars on their appetizers and mains while not losing out on the portion size, with menu hacks many might not be aware of.
“As a Chili’s server, let me tell you some stuff that you can actually do on the menu that a lot of people don’t know,” wtf.is.rihannasnewalbum said. Starting off with the appetizers, such as the Dip Trio, she recommended that customers just order the chips and the dip they want in particular as an extra.
“Instead of doing the Dip Trio, it’s better to just do the chips and pick whatever queso you want, and then just get an extra queso only,” wtf.is.rihannasnewalbum said. According to her, this alternative can shave off around $4 from the Dip Trio’s usual $12 with rewards.
wtf.is.rihannasnewalbum said that customers also have the option to mix and match their preferred flavors, like the Honey-Chipotle and Nashville Hot, with Chili’s six-piece mozzarella sticks. She pointed out, however, that the “half and half” option doesn’t apply to the three-piece mozzarella sticks, and only works if it is the six-piece order.
Chili’s 3 For Me offers the best deal
wtf.is.rihannasnewalbum then shared a “hack” that many customers might be overlooking: Chili’s 3 For Me. “Now, before you go and look at the menu at all, turn it all the way to the back and look at that 3 For Me,” she said. The server urged customers to see if the dish they wanted was an available option on 3 For Me, and if so, to order it instead, as they get the full-size portion for less the price.
According to Chili’s, their 3 For Me allows customers to “build a meal” starting at $10.99, which includes an appetizer, entrée, and a drink. “It is the same size; like, it’s no different. It’s not smaller. It’s not nothing,” wtf.is.rihannasnewalbum said. “You get your drink, that’s included in the price. And then you also get a choice of chips and salsa, a cup of soup, or a salad. Like, c’mon. That’s so good.”
wtf.is.rihannasnewalbum shared that customers can also make requests to change items on the 3 For Me menu. However, she cautioned that making changes can sometimes lead to an upcharge depending on those changes.
For those interested in margaritas, the server recommended getting the Don Julio, Flamingo Freeze, or the Presidente, as it allegedly offers customers their “money’s worth.” Although she does acknowledge that Chili’s $6 Margarita of the Month can be worth it depending on the drink. “Also, from, I think 12 to 6pm, the Happy Hour [is a] great deal. Like, those are some of the classics for $7,” she added.
The Triple Dipper can be customized as well
Lastly, wtf.is.rihannasnewalbum shared that the popular Triple Dipper isn’t limited to what is shown on the menu. According to her, customers can change their Triple Dipper to include fries, a half-order of the Texas Cheese Fries, chicken wings, or crispers. Customers also have the option to remove items they don’t want. “You can pretty much customize anything on that,” she said.
Many viewers came forward to share their own experience with wtf.is.rihannasnewalbum’s tips. “I been spamming the $10 burger 3 for me so much food for your money. Big a** burger, loaded mash, chips and salsa ANDDD a drink,” one commenter said. “I know the 3 for me hate to see me coming!” another said.
One user, who claimed to be a bartender at Chili’s, had a different opinion about the TikToker’s take on the margaritas. “As a Chili’s bartender, the marg of the month is STRONG ASF. I swear it’s the best bang for your buck,” the bartender said. Nonetheless, Chili’s even backed wtf.is.rihannasnewalbum’s money-saving hacks, saying, “Some awesome tips, let em know!”
