This portrait by Miguel Endara is a pointillist work. It’s comprised of nothing but dots. Lots of them. 3.2 million of them. The technique isn’t new. In fact, you’re probably familiar with at least one famous instance. Still, it is mighty impressive. The portrait, entitled “Hero,” is of Endara’s father and appears to be of him pressing his face up against some glass. All those dots must have taken a long time to place, right? You bet they did. Endara made a neat little time-laspe making-of video to illustrate the process. Check it out below.
