DoorDash delivery turns chaotic as ICE agents surround couple’s home: ‘Guns pointing everywhere’

The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has been actively apprehending immigrants on American soil, leading to widespread criticism in recent years. ICE drew attention once more when agents tried to detain an alleged immigrant during her DoorDash shift, who hid in a couple’s home in Minnesota for fear for her life.

StormiBabyy27 (@stormibabyy27) shared the incident on TikTok, where it has since amassed over 29.5 million views across 10 videos. According to StormiBabyy27, she and her family ordered food from DoorDash, but when the female driver arrived, she allegedly ran into StormiBabyy27’s home to hide from ICE agents who were chasing after her.

“I literally ordered DoorDash, and now there’s ICE agents around my house because the lady ran in my house,” StormiBabyy27 said. “And now I don’t know what to do because […] they have no warrant. They said they were gonna get one.”

Aside from the possible violence that could arise from the situation given ICE’s reputation, StormiBabyy27 also had a baby in the house that she needed to protect, which explained the family’s distress over the situation. StormiBabyy27 said ICE agents were “looking at everything” while they were outside her home, and claimed that there were “guns pointing everywhere,” noting that one of the agents kept his hand on his gun while they waited for the family to open the door.

StormiBabyy27 tried to de-escalate the situation and showed the agents the woman’s ID through the window, which allegedly stated that she was a U.S. citizen. Despite that, the agents still demanded the woman. “I’m Native American. My f****** family already died for you all to work here,” StormiBabyy27 yelled to the agents.

The family also called 911 to report the issue. However, they were told that not much could be done and were advised by the police to release the woman, as they could be charged with harboring.

ICE agents fail to apprehend the DoorDash driver

The situation escalated into a tense standoff, with StormiBabyy27 demanding that the agents leave her property as they had no judge-signed warrant. “Are you f****** kidding me? I’m Native American. Get the f*** off my yard!” she said. With the help of neighbors and the family’s strong resistance, the ICE agents eventually left without the woman, with the incident lasting at least 14 minutes.

Viewers praised StormiBabyy27 and her family for their refusal to comply with the agents and for keeping the woman safe, even though she was a stranger. “She’s a US citizen. You showed them her ID. They have no right to be pursuing her after she showed proof of legality. Thank you for protecting this woman,” one comment said.

Another viewer noted, “This video demonstrates the power and importance of understanding your rights under the law. Powerful.” Some said that the woman sought help from the right person, saying, “She went to the right house. God put her in perfect hands!”

Under the Constitution’s Fourth Amendment, a citizen is protected from searches and seizures, and a signed warrant is needed for government officers to enter someone’s private property. However, protection under this right is not always guaranteed, as it only protects those the law deems unreasonable.

According to StormiBabyy27, the DoorDash driver was safe following the incident. She also claimed that police didn’t arrive at the scene. In a separate incident, ICE agents drew intense backlash for the killing of Renee Good in Minnesota during Operation Metro Surge.
