Donald Trump’s Longtime Critic, Adam Kinzinger, Recently Wished Him a Happy Birthday, but There is a Catch

Happy Birthday!

A well-known individual who extended birthday wishes to Donald Trump was his longtime critic, former United States Representative Adam Kinzinger. Over the years, Kinzinger has repeatedly taken digs at Trump, calling him out for his decisions, conduct, and, largely, everything he represents. Therefore, when he wished Trump a happy birthday, it was not a generic social media post but one intended to take a subtle jab at him, by pointing out a behavioral trait that Trump has been frequently associated with since starting his second term as president last year.

Adam Kinzinger pokes fun at Trump with an unusual birthday post

Adam Kinzinger isn’t holding back on Donald Trump, even on his birthday. Since last year, he’s been taking shots at Trump almost every day, and he did so again on Trump’s birthday while wishing him on X (formerly Twitter).

In his post, Kinzinger shared two photos of Trump, one showing him dozing off, and wished him a happy birthday. He also mockingly called Trump “the guy who gets younger every day,” and said he has “so much energy and is the best thing to happen to America.” Kinzinger stated that Trump is “second only to Jesus” and that he does things in the best possible way. He wrapped up his post by saying, “80 is not old at all!”

Trump celebrated his birthday by hosting cage fights

To celebrate his 80th year on Earth, Donald Trump decided to host a series of cage fights on the White House’s South Lawn. The UFC Freedom 250 martial arts event bouts took place inside what is called “The Claw,” a massive steel structure that towers over 90 feet tall above the Octagon it encloses.

The UFC Freedom 250 martial arts event held at The White House was attended by many people, including (according to a Buzzfeed article published on June 15, 2026) Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, comedian Shane Gillis, FBI Director Kash Patel, Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, Senator Lindsey Graham, Fox News anchor and host Harris Faulkner, Melania Trump, Ivanka Trump, and Barron Trump. The same article also mentioned that invitations to the event had been personally extended by Trump to celebrities, including The Rock, Adam Sandler, Tom Brady, Guy Ritchie, Jason Statham, Mario Lopez, and Jared Leto. However, none of them attended.
