You Can Make Rey’s Adorable Rebel Pilot Doll Yourself!

I guess, at the very least, you can pretend it's Poe.

We love Rey (as if you didn’t already know). She takes no shit and is smart, fantastic, and even crafty. I specifically remember that every time I watched The Force Awakens, there was something that really struck me in the segment featuring her improvised shelter in the AT-AT: her rebel pilot doll. Now, thanks to GeekMom, I can relive that moment myself using these handy-dandy instructions to make my very own rebel pilot doll.

It’s a pretty faithful recreation drawn from some of the official books like Rey’s Survival Guide, the Visual Dictionary, and such. While it’ll take some time for it to look just as weathered (or if you’re of advanced skill, no time at all), it’s still a fun toy to use as decoration or as part of your cosplay. Personally I can see myself giving this little doll to my friends’ kids who are just discovering Star Wars with their parents. Get ’em on the fan train early, I say.

If you decide to follow these instructions and make your own rebel pilot doll, please show us in the comments! We’d love to see them!
