Amateur filmaker Hae-Joon Lee released this excellent Portal 2 fan vid just a little too late for a contest deadline, but that doesn’t mean we can’t all enjoy it. Set to the dulcet tones of The National, the video mixes live-action footage, in-game art, claymation, and a myriad of other resources to tell the touching and tragic story of Lab Rat, the schizoid researcher within the walls of Apature Science. It’s also a bit of a downer, but if you find yourself too bummed out you can always raise your spirits with this classic.
In a final, ultra-cute note, Lee apparently contracted the creation of his puppet’s costumes to his mother. Adorable!
