12 Helmets Darth Vader Might Wear If He Had Fashion Sense

And I'll Form the Head!

We all know black looks good on anyone, and Darth Vader certainly wouldn’t be as menacing a villain if he’d been painted yellow, but that doesn’t mean we can’t have a little fun with his famous helmet. HalloweenCostumes.com recently held a contest for artists to give their own unique spins on the classic look, as well as an opportunity to raise money for charity.

And the website just announced the winners of the design contest. Honorable Mention went to The Lord of the Stitch: Tailored for Evil by Staci Queen.

Third place was The Haunting of Darth Vader by Jason Goad.

Second place went to Skevader by Ryan Peterson.

And First place went to Frankenvader by Denise Vasquez.

The helmets will be available for auction February 7 and the proceeds go to benefit two Minnesota charities, the Midwest Art Catalyst and the Miracle League of North Mankato. Starting bids are $50 for each helmet and you can bid on them here as well as read the artists’ inspiration for each piece.
