‘Chucky’ Season 2: Release Date, Trailer, Cast, and More

Wanna play?

Last year, the Child’s Play franchise made a proper comeback, only this time it was in the form of a TV series—which is very coming of age and super queer (which isn’t new for the franchise).  It serves as a sequel to Cult of Chucky (2017) and brings back icons Brad Dourif (voice only), Andy (Alex Vincent),  Kyle (Christine Elise), Tiffany (Jennifer Tilly), and Nica (Fiona Dourif). And introduced a wonderful cast of young to older actors to the franchise. The performances from the teens are excellent and there’s believable chemistry between the characters.

Season 1 ended in somewhat of a cliffhanger and left us anticipating season 2. With the official synopsis being: After his diabolical plan to invade America’s children’s hospitals was foiled in season one, Chucky now seeks revenge on those he holds responsible: surviving teens Jake (Zackary Arthur), Devon (Björgvin Arnarson) and Lexy (Alyvia Alyn Lind), along with his ex Tiffany, now his sworn enemy.

From the recently released trailer, there’s a lot going on. Most of which will take place at a Catholic private school. The season will seemingly explore the aftermath of Chucky’s murder spree, Jake (Zachary Arthur) and Devon (Björgvin Arnarson)’s relationship, Lexi (Alyvia Alyn Lind) spiraling out due to trauma, what happens between Andy and doll(!) Tiffany, Nica seeking revenge on Tiffany, the return of Glen/Glenda and a whole lot of Chucky killing people. What we also know for certain is that Don Mancini will return as the executive producer.
