Charles Melton’s Towel Pics Are Melting the Internet
Charles Melton just did a photo shoot for Men’s Health and the fans are sweating. Sometimes, especially on challenging days, you just have to sit and enjoy the view.
Melton is getting ready to star in Season 2 of Beef over on Netflix. As they ramp up the promotional cycle for that season of the show, the star sat down for a lengthy interview. He covered a bunch of topics stemming from his start in the Hollywood business to the perception of his characters on screen. As always, the man is very self aware about what we’re all thinking when we’re staring into those deep eyes.
Who would have thought we’d get all the way here from those Riverdale days? A lot of folks watching at home on the CW probably didn’t period now, Melton is one of the most sought after young leads in Hollywood.
Understandably, he is grateful for all the success. But, Melton hasn’t forgotten how exactly he ended up in this place to begin with. One of the most understated parts of the interview focuses on Melton’s Korean heritage.
Apparently he borrowed some mannerisms from his mother in the new season of Beef. Hearing him talk about her and the expressiveness she passed down to him is beyond charming.
“She [His mom] has such a great physical comedy. Koreans are like” Melton said while pantomiming different emotions for Men’s Health. “they’re very expressive without saying anything. Somehow, unconsciously, I had the freedom to do that.”

If that wasn’t enough to make you swoon a little bit, Hearing Melton talk about getting his start really caught me off guard. His sister’s big push to have him try out for a small commercial role feels so long ago now.
“I was driving to football practice when I was 19, and I heard on the radio: Do you want to be a star? Do you want to be an actor or a model?.” Melton recalled. “And I was like, Yeah! It was like 120 degrees outside, 4 o’clock in the morning, and I was driving to practice.”
“Because of my sister, Patricia, we ended up going to this audition in Salina, Kansas, at this Marriott,” he continued. “And there’s people from all walks of life—ages 2 to 100—and I read this Twizzlers mock audition, and it was the most exciting thing.”
