OK, Shawn Thorsson didn’t actually freeze his friend Jenny in carbonite. He just used some impressive (…most impressive) DIY wizardry to make it look like Jenny’d been caught by Boba Fett and was about to be taken to Jabba the Hutt. We’ve included a few of our favorite pics from the process behind the jump.
The second-best thing about this Star Wars sculpture, aside from its general awesomeitude, is that it has shelves inside, so with a bit of know-how one could have it pull double-duty as a door into a hidden lair full of nerd memorabilia. The first best thing? Thorsson wrote a detailed how-to over on Instructables, so you can make one yourself.
