California woman took her sister’s children in after she fell into addiction. Her sister repaid her by having an affair with both of her husbands
A mother that stepped up.

Amy Diane (@amydiane87) from California said that after her half-sister fell into drug addiction, she took her six children in. But instead of thanking her, Amy alleged that her sister had an affair with her ex-husbands.
“We have the same moms, but we have different dads, and she’s about ten years older than I am,” Amy prefaced on TikTok. She said her half-sister was married and had three kids. Amy said that one of these children was the result of her sister’s affair with another man, but her sister’s husband stuck it out. During this relationship, her sister was a stay-at-home mom, but Amy alleged that her sister still expected her husband to cook, clean, and take care of the children.
“My sister has always been a selfish person, and she’s lacked that maternal instinct,” Amy alleged. Eventually, her sister and her husband got divorced. The man moved out of state, and Amy alleged he was completely out of the picture.
“She ended up meeting somebody else and remarrying and having two more children,” Amy said. However, she claimed the husband her sister chose to remarry was “a piece of [expletive].” The husband allegedly did not like that her sister already had three children from a previous relationship and wanted to start fresh with just her and their two biological children.
The first betrayal
“The fact that she even entertained that is beyond me,” Amy commented. Her sister’s second husband eventually got a house for himself. She alleged her sister would often bring the two biological children to that house and leave the three other kids to fend for themselves. But because Amy lived close to them, she claimed she often visited the kids in their apartment to bring them food and check on them. Amy claimed she even invited the kids over to stay the night, at a time when she herself was recently divorced.
“During all this time, she was abusing pills, and I was unaware,” Amy alleged. She claimed it started with tramadol and then progressed to other opioids. Her sister’s second marriage also fell apart, and the father took his two biological children. Amy said her sister began living with the three older children. However, she was hardly around because her pill use allegedly took a turn toward hard drugs.
Then one day, Amy said she received an email from her first ex-husband. The email was titled, “I miss my family with benefits.” When she opened it up, she saw pictures and videos of Amy’s ex with her sister.
“So, she only did it in exchange for pills, and he only did it so he could take pictures and videos and sent it to me and hurt me on my birthday,” Amy alleged. When she decided to confront her sister, Amy claimed she shrugged it off. They never spoke about the incident again. Shortly after that, she claimed her sister’s drug use worsened.
This was supposed to be a new chapter
Amy stepped in and took the three children under her wing, who were ages 9, 13, and 14 at the time. “After this, she went off the deep end, and we didn’t hear from her for years,” Amy claimed. Regardless, Amy said she raised her sister’s children until they graduated high school.
“Fast forward a couple of years later, my sister ends up pregnant again and at my door. And like an idiot, I welcomed her back to my home, hoping this would be the turning point,” Amy said. She claimed her sister was sober during her pregnancy. Amy, now remarried, had also started a new chapter in her life.
“Soon after she gave birth, she would take off and leave her daughter with me,” Amy claimed. She alleged that her sister spiraled back into addiction again. One night, Amy alleged her sister assaulted her boyfriend so badly that she ended up in prison for nearly two years. Because of the sudden imprisonment, Amy got guardianship of her sister’s youngest daughter.
A vice for having affairs and taking drugs
Her sister was released early, and Amy let her sister stay over for the rest of her parole. It was just Amy, her sister, her sister’s daughter, and Amy’s second husband under the same roof. Amy would later divorce her second husband, and only a year after that did she find out that her sister and second husband had been having a secret affair while using drugs together.
“Long story short, I ended up alone in the house with this baby, who I have guardianship of,” Amy said. In yet another turn of events, she found out that her sister’s second husband also started taking drugs. She alleged that the children her sister had with that man were dropped off in a drug den, much like this woman who was abandoned in one by two supposed friends.
Because her sister was also not in a good place to take the children, Amy took custody of the two boys. Like last time, Amy was once again raising her sister’s children, only this time it was a different batch. But Amy isn’t going through it alone. She’s now remarried to her third husband, who encouraged her to adopt all three children.
