Abby (@user29469257) told her audience that she met a “Beautiful man” after a work conference while on Sixth Street in Austin, Texas. The only problem? He gave her his contact information, but no phone number. Now she’s chasing down the meet cute.

Abby’s chance encounter at the Blind Pig

Abby met a man named Jordan at the Blind Pig, a popular bar in downtown Austin. Abby recalled that the man had a full tattoo sleeve on one arm and that he was “beautiful.” She also said he lives in North Carolina but was in Texas for a work conference.

Jordan came up to her in the bar and began chatting with her. Abby recalled that he asked to put his number in her phone.

“He was like, ‘Please text me. I’m gonna be mad if you don’t text me,'” Abby said.

He left the Blind Pig around 1:30 a.m., and she left a little later.

When she got back to her hotel, she realized he missed one thing while trying to put his contact information in: His phone number.

“I’ve tried looking for him. I need y’all’s help so bad,” Abby said.

Commenters weigh in

A few commenters joked about Abby accidentally running into someone similar to “Lineman Mike,” a reference to a popular TikTok. In it, a woman’s friend tried to find her perfect match after a chance encounter line dancing in Nashville. Then she and her friend realized the lineman had a wife and children.

“lineman Mike? nah, tattoo guy Jordan,” one commenter said.

Other commenters said her chances of finding the man after an encounter in Austin were slim.

“u said austin i lost hope,” one viewer added.

Did he mean to let her down gently?

Even if she did end up finding him, others suggested he didn’t put his phone number in her phone on purpose. While Jordan was the one to offer her his number, there’s also a chance he could have backed out in the moment.

“I think he did that on purpose boo, I’m sorry,” one viewer said. Abby replied, saying, “but why HE asked me if he could put his number in my phone.”

Another commenter replied, adding, “sometimes they do it for the hype in the moment, it’s like the dopamine rush of getting a fish on the line but once they catch us they just throw us back because that was the fun part. sorry girly I hope you have a better outcome.”

It’s impossible to know whether the missing phone number was a genuine accident or a gentle let down. Either way, Abby hasn’t found the Jordan she’s looking for quite yet.
