Normally, a teaser that is only about twenty seconds of Bill Murray staring would make me rage-quit the entire Internet, but I’m starting to think this one is secretly genius. Or teasers have melted my brain.
See, Bill Murray is starring in a Sophia Coppola-directed Christmas special for Netflix, and he’s playing himself (along with George Clooney, Amy Poehler, Miley Cyrus and Maya Rudolph). So why not basically make him into a caricature of himself that stares forlornly out of windows while wearing reindeer antlers and then mugs for the camera as the first teaser? It says everything you really need to know about the tone of a Christmas special with Bill Murray as Bill Murray.
…Or it’s also possible that I just love Bill Murray and will make any excuse not to hate this “teaser.”
