‘BE COOL’: Donald Trump’s message to Americans amid trade war is extremely apathetic

It’s a scary time to be an American. Everything is a mess, the White House is tweeting ominous messages, and the President’s out here posting that we all need to “BE COOL” about the crashing economy. Just a lot of…normal stuff!
Right now, everyone is worried that we’re heading into a depression. According to economists, we’re not in either a recession or a depression but it is a fear many Americans have. Instead of the President making us feel better about the situation, he basically told everyone to just relax. That’s not really how that works!
“BE COOL,” Donald Trump wrote on Truth Social. “Everything is going to work out well. The USA will be bigger and better than ever before!” Don’t worry, he also posted a second time, this time telling people it was a great time to spend money! You know when we’re all worried we might not have any money soon. “THIS IS A GREAT TIME TO BUY!!! DJT,” he wrote.
Before you take money advice from a man like Donald Trump, I do think it is important to remind everyone that this man has filed for bankruptcy multiple times. So maybe going and spending money when the stock market is what it is might not be the best move. But what do I know! I’m just someone that remembers that this man is seemingly not great with his money.
With countries refusing to deal with Trump’s tariffs on their work and the President ignoring many Americans as we plead for this to stop, everything is just really terrifying. Pair that with the White House randomly tweeting “DO NOT RETALIATE AND YOU WILL BE REWARDED,” everything is looking a little grim.
So sorry to the President but I don’t really think telling a bunch of Americans rightfully concerned with their money and the economy to just “BE COOL” is the right move.
