Evil Has Never Looked Cuter Than Star Wars’ BB-9E, the Evil BB-8

Why is 8 afraid of 9E? In preparation for Force Friday II, Sphero has announced two more Star Wars droids including BB-9E, the “evil version” of our beloved BB-8. While there’s no firm confirmation, most sources anticipate the droid appearing in The Last Jedi so look forward to some droid feuds. Could they impersonate each other? Will this end up like the end of the first Pokemon movie and BB-8 and BB-9E desperately fight each other to the death while in tears?

BB-9E looks and moves just like BB-8, save for the slick First Order paint job. (If you want to be silly, you can also imagine this is BB-8 during an emo phase as he beeps furiously at Poe Dameron for not understanding him, dad.)

Both the BB-9E toy and the new R2-D2 toy from Sphero arrive in stores September 1st. While the Sphero toys are a bit pricier for $150 and $180, they’re sure to be popular among Star Wars fans. For fans in tighter budgets, other BB-9E merchandise will also be making its debut in Funko Pops and other forms.

[EDIT: 12:57 PM] WHY WOULDN’T YOU-

What do you think about the new, evil droid?
