What if it turned out that Batman’s dad hadn’t been killed by a criminal but was a criminal himself and now wore a lot of black and wanted to take over Gotham and kill all of Batman’s friends?

Oh wait Grant Morrison already tried to make us think that was happening and it was dumb.
