Bartender finishes her shift, then her jaw drops when a regular sends a disturbing one-night stand text: ‘Never told him anything about myself’
Being friendly to customers doesn’t mean inviting romantic attention. One bartender discovered that a regular she barely knew had apparently developed feelings for her.
His unexpected confession was uncomfortable enough. However, things became more concerning when he allegedly started looking for her at work.
TikToker @omgwheresmymom shared the lengthy message from a regular named Daniel in a video with 4,200 views. She claimed they had barely spoken, yet he was already imagining a future together. Things took a disturbing turn after she discovered his message.
There was more to this than a message
On June 7 at 7:00 a.m., Daniel sent the bartender a lengthy message explaining that he had looked her up because he wouldn’t be visiting the bar for several months. Although he acknowledged that she was already in a relationship, he wanted her to know how he felt.
“if you ever find yourself single, i wanted to tell you that your someone i could absolutely fall in love with and possibly spend my life with,” he wrote.
He immediately added, “dont get too full of yourself,” explaining that there were “3 or 4 other girls currently i said the same thing to.” He also mentioned his previous one-night stands, insisting he wouldn’t date someone he didn’t genuinely like.
Daniel then discussed what attracted him to the bartender. “it was mostly how you stood up to me when i called you barmaid that really attracted me to you,” he explained. He also complimented her appearance and discussed his ideal partner.
Despite admitting that he barely knew her, Daniel continued describing their potential compatibility. He mentioned his fitness routine, his nearly developed six-pack abs, and his family’s generational wealth, claiming they would never face financial difficulties.
The bartender, however, had a different understanding of their relationship. “I’ve never told him anything about myself we’ve literally talked twice maybe a minute worth of conversation I wouldn’t even consider them conversations,” she wrote in her caption. She also revealed that she had already quit her old bartending job and was now working in fine dining.
Although Daniel ended his confession by wishing her well, he later sent another message on July 4 asking whether she was watching the World Cup.
The situation soon went beyond an unwanted romantic message. In a follow-up video, the bartender alleged that Daniel visited her former workplace looking for her before arriving at her new job a few hours later. His alleged behavior raised concerns about customers who refuse to respect boundaries, particularly when employees are simply trying to do their jobs.
According to her account, Daniel sat at the bar but “didn’t want a menu, didn’t want to order anything.” Already uncomfortable with the unexpected attention from a regular, she left and went to her former workplace across the street to hide.
She claims Daniel followed her there. Fortunately, a line cook noticed him and escorted her back to her current workplace. Daniel reportedly did not return afterward.
The timing particularly confused the bartender because she had discovered his message only the previous day, despite it being more than a month old. “So I don’t know how it happened like that,” she admitted, explaining that the “situation has progressed.”
Viewers expressed concern about her safety. “Good lord, you might be needing a restraining order at some point,” one commented. Another advised, “Babe pls protect yourself when ur walking to ur car after shifts.”
Others focused on Daniel’s original confession. “Him saying don’t get too full of yourself bit was insane,” one viewer wrote. Someone else commented, “Say it isn’t true. This is terrifying.”
The bartender also responded to his admission about approaching several other women. Quoting that portion of his message, she joked, “go get them then king.” Daniel’s account of the alleged workplace encounters has not been independently established.
