Ant-Man’s Evangeline Lilly Is Seriously Bugged By Paul Rudd, Wasp Definitely Has a Cameo

I definitely thought this was a fan-made poster when I first saw it but I am so glad to report it is 100% Marvel official.

Entertainment Weekly recently posted a series of 7 posters for the film, out July 17th, with a bit of comedic flair. Evangeline Lilly’s is our favorite by far.

I may not be anywhere near as hyped for this one as I have been for Marvel’s recent film offerings but it’s good to see they’re ok being silly. Though we knew that already.

In other Ant-Man news, you may remember us hoping Lilly would be playing Janet van Dyne (Marvel’s The Wasp and founding member of The Avengers) before it was revealed she’d be playing Hope van Dyne (daughter of Michael Douglas’ Hank Pym and Janet). While it’s likely Lilly could go on to play The Wasp in Ant-Man or future Marvel projects, fans were still wondering about her mom.

Recently released reports from those who were lucky enough to get set visits confirm Janet is indeed in the film but only for the briefest of cameos. Collider says (we’re covering this for spoilers because it contains a few specifics):

There is only one way I’d be ok with this creative direction — It could open up the possibility of Janet teaming up with Agent Peggy Carter on her ABC television show at some point.
