Amy Poehler was presented with the Variety Power of Comedy Award and took the opportunity during her acceptance speech to pitch a few new shows to television executives. Because she has real power now, everyone. You know, as the second winner of this award and the first women in history. But mostly, she’s just incredibly funny while also being really touching about the gathering’s real purpose — raising money for the Noreen Fraser Foundation, which supports fundraising for women’s cancer research. Will Ferrell presented the award to Poehler, and then left with the gentleman who brought the actual award onstage after making out with him. (If someone can tell me who that guy is, I’ll happily fix the post and include his name. He is not a piece of meat, after all.)
