Agent Carter Rocks an American Accent in New Season Two Promo

"California is gonna go to hell in a handbasket!"

We couldn’t be more excited for January! Not only will it be a brand new year, but it brings with it brand new Agent Carter! Peggy Carter and Jarvis are back, and this time, they’re on the opposite coast. Check out the latest promo above!

I love the reminder of Yeah, yeah, S.H.I.E.L.D. and the Avengers…but Peggy came FIRST. I also love that, for some reason, Hayley Atwell is yelling at someone in an American accent! Lastly, I’m digging the noir feel of this “new adventure.” Moving the setting to Los Angeles in the 1940s will do cool things for the storytelling, and I’m curious as to whether or not the case(s) with which the team will be involved will be more or less involved with the Marvel Universe since most of Marvel’s major goings-on take place in New York. It could be an interesting look into what might have been going on for the rest of the country as whatever we know from the comics was happening in NYC at the time.

Also, we’ve just missed you, Peggy!

ABC’s Agent Carter returns January 5th. Are you excited?
