Andor star Adria Arjona is officially part of the DC Universe. The news comes from trade publications prior to the Warner Bros. panel at CinemaCon in Las Vegas. The problem is no one can agree on who she is playing.

Originally, it was rumored that Maxima could be a code name for Wonder Woman/Diana Prince but it has since been squashed by James Gunn. Both Deadline and Variety have reported that Arjona is going to be Maxima with other news sources claiming she will be another female character not yet announced. DC has not commented on the news.

More to come here after the Warner Bros. panel!

Adria Arjona in the DCU is a good thing

I have been a fan of Arjona’s work since her time on Narcos starring opposite Pedro Pascal. Slowly but surely she’s proven her power as an actress leading to incredible roles in Hit Man, Andor, and more. She’s funny, fierce, and someone I think can have a lot of power in the DCU moving forward. Plus any excuse to see Arjona kill it on screen is a win in my mind!

But after her work in Andor, I think it has been made very clear that she has the power as an actor to really elevate a role and that’s a perfect fit for the DC Universe that James Gunn and Peter Safran have been building.

Arjona has, for many, been the top pick for Wonder Woman from the start of the search but right now, we don’t have answers on who she will be playing. So stay tuned to The Mary Sue’s CinemaCon coverage where we will be updating live on any news about Adria Arjona and her potential role in the future of the DC Universe.
