Duke Physician Assistant Graduate Accuses Reality Star of Faking Credentials: ‘You Do Not Get to Cosplay the Hardest Thing I’ve Ever Done in My Life’
The influencer allegedly lived a double-life.
Kiera Brown (@theekieralee), a recent graduate of the Duke University Physician Assistant (PA) Program, came forward on TikTok. Brown disavowed a reality star influencer who claimed to have graduated from her program.
“I am a recent graduate of the DPA program, class of 2026. I’m also the class historian, so I know every single person in my class,” Brown explained. She said that they started with 91 people in their PA program and that her coursemates know each other by name. During her first year, Brown claimed that she noticed another girl on TikTok post about being part of the PA program. One of her classmates asked about the influencer, and Brown said they were confused since the name was unfamiliar.
When they looked into the influencer, Brown said she found the influencer posing around the PA program at Duke University. “If you look closely enough, she never posted anything from inside our building,” Brown said. Although she found one post of the influencer’s stories from inside the building, Brown claimed that it was a photo from someone above her batch.
“She did some digging, found somebody’s old story post, screenshotted it, and made it seem like she’s in the building,” Brown alleged. As class historian and a Black woman, Brown said she made it her mission to ensure that the diversity in her program was pronounced.
“If there’s a black person that’s not there, and I’m the historian? Just know that they were not in my program,” Brown asserted. Some people live more than one life. One man even discovered that his best friend’s fiancée had a family before him. But it’s one thing to hide a secret family and another to pretend to be part of a degree program.
PA School at Duke University was not a walk in the park
“People need to know that PA school is very, very difficult,” Brown said. She described it as a sped-up version of medical school, with the expectation of practicing medicine after only two years. Brown said that because she and her coursemates were busy, they did not initially call the influencer out. However, Brown alleged that the influencer maintained the appearance of studying at Duke University on social media.
“She followed me on Instagram. Then shortly after, she started posting… We’re on the same rotations now,” Brown said. She claimed that every time the influencer posted about a rotation, it coincided with the same rotations Brown was recently on.
“You’re making money off of people thinking you’re something that you’re not,” she alleged. Brown disliked how the influencer gave out advice to people who wanted to get into PA school. Moreover, Brown found it distasteful that the influencer monetized her PA school identity. The influencer allegedly got brand deals and even became a part of a reality TV show because of it.
“And then it’s scarier because now that you graduated, what were you gonna do?” Brown said. The social media influencer allegedly posted in graduation garb at Duke University. However, Brown was concerned the influencer would start giving medical advice, even though she allegedly had no proper credentials.
“You do not get to cosplay the hardest thing I’ve done in my life,” Brown said, closing off her message. The influencer’s public social media pages are no longer accessible.
