Man Buys New International Delight Creamer. Then He Sees The New Packaging—And Crashes Out: ‘You Speak For Us All Man’

An International Delight customer posted a TikTok video criticizing the brand after a recent packaging change, which he says made the bottle flimsier and more difficult to use.
More than just this brand or this creamer, he said, a system of pushing profit above all else has made many products consumers use daily worse, even though they end up paying more for them over time.
The video went viral, and shortly after, he claimed it was taken down by the platform.
Now, in a recent response video that got over 715,600 views, creator Scott (@skaught85) tries to guess what happened that made the video go down.
What Did He Say About International Delight Creamer?
“All right, International Delight, you’re not getting off that easy,” Scott says.
He explains that viewers may have seen his earlier video about the new International Delight lid and bottle design.
“It was talking about these lids and this bottle, and how we went from a good product to a worse product with a harsh edge,” he says.
According to Scott, that original video was taken down.
“I’ll put up an edited version, but I doubt it will go any further,” he says.
Scott says the video gained traction because viewers used the comments to talk about their frustrations with what he called “the ensh**ification of everything.”
“Being asked to pay just as much or more for worse products, for lesser things, is infuriating,” he says.
Scott speculates that the brand’s legal team may have reviewed the video and flagged it because he used the word “revolution” at the beginning.
“They probably told TikTok, ‘Take it down,’ because of that, and TikTok did,” he says.
Scott says he hopes the impact goes beyond International Delight.
“Do I really care about the bottle? As I said in my first video, yes, I do,” he says. “However, the point is the same. We all work for our money.”
He argues that consumers are being asked to work more while their money does not stretch as far as it used to. At the same time, he says, even small daily luxuries like morning coffee creamer are getting worse.
“We get these products, these small little luxuries like creamer in the morning, and everything is becoming worse,” he says.
His message to viewers was to keep pointing it out.
“When you find a product that you love and it’s become a little bit worse, point it out,” he says. “Make a video.”
Did Other International Delight Customers Complain About The Alleged Redesign?
Scott is not the only International Delight customer to complain about the brand’s bottles or formula.
On Facebook, one customer claimed International Delight changed “formula, bottles, everything.”
“Have not bought Southern Butter Pecan since last September/October timeframe,” they wrote. “It is thin, weak tasting and bottles are horrible to open.”
On Reddit, another customer said the cap had become a regular problem in their household.
That comment appeared under a post where a customer showed what happened when they tried to pull the handle to remove the protective cap, only for the handle to tear off.
“My fiancé is the coffee maker in our household and he also hates these with a passion,” they wrote. “He wanted me to be sure I let everyone know here that he’d ‘rather the creamer not have a protective seal at all and risk contamination than deal with this cap.’ It breaks every single time and creamer really does go everywhere. This morning, he resorted to puncturing it open with a knife and ripping it back.”
The Mary Sue was not able to locate an announcement about a bottle redesign for 2025 or 2026. It has reached out to Danone, International Delight’s parent company, via email to find out what happened.
Commenters Point Out Other ‘Worse Now’ Products
“Double stuffed Oreos are what normal Oreos used to be,” one commenter wrote.
Another person said Q-tips have also gone downhill.
“Don’t get me started on Q-tips,” they wrote. “I’m literally scraping my ear now with a sharp cardboard corner bc of the lack of cotton on the swab.”
A third viewer said Scott’s video reminded them of another creator who had complained about printer ink.
“Saw a lady on here crash out about a HP printer ink, finally people are starting to notice capitalism is ruining everything,” they wrote.
Others questioned why the original International Delight video was allegedly removed at all.
“They took your video down and got their legal team involved because you voiced your opinion?” one commenter wrote. “I saw the original…. There was nothing wrong with it.”
Since Scott posted the follow-up video, it is worth noting that the original video has gone back up.
