Woman from Michigan Made Plans with Her Situationship. He Cancelled Last Minute and Didn’t Even Leave Her on Read: ‘Ghosted’
He made her wait for hours before replying to her message and cancelling their plans.

When a couple starts dating, the labels aren’t often clearly defined. But after some time passes, you have to put a label on it. Erika Rolston (@erikarolston85) from Michigan shared her experience with her situationship. Not only did he have no official label for their relationship, but he also canceled his last-minute plans with her for an unexplained reason.
“I got ghosted on Saturday,” Rolston explained on TikTok. She was seeing a man whom she referred to as her “boyfriend.” Although they were unofficially together, Rolston alleged that he “doesn’t do boyfriend” stuff. But she, on the other hand, is required to send her location to him, block men on her online accounts, indicate that she’s ‘in a relationship,’ and stop posting on Snapchat.
This is a lot to ask, but Rolston complied because she wanted to be with him. Regardless, he messaged her on a Friday evening, asking if her children would be busy because he wanted to meet with her. Although she was already seeing him the next day, Rolston was eager to invite him to her home.
But an hour passed by, and he didn’t message her. Rolston texted him again, asking him if he was already done with work. She said she knew he wasn’t at work, but it gave her an excuse to message him.
Making her want more without fully committing
Unexpectedly, the man told her that he was already at a friend’s house. She tried to hold her tongue but eventually snapped at him for suggesting a hangout, only to leave her with radio silence for the past hour.
“Mind you, I dropped my kid off. Now I’m just sitting here. Like a puppy in the window, waiting for him to text me,” she explained. Essentially, she got ready for him, but he chose his buddy over his supposed “girlfriend.”
But Rolston isn’t the only one with failed expectations. At least her situationship doesn’t have an overly involved mother, who’s trying to get in the way of her child’s romantic life. Nevertheless, Rolston’s romantic liaison told her that the night was still young.
“It’s only 7 o’clock, and I haven’t gone anywhere or seen anybody,” he supposedly said. Rolston also alleged that her situationship told her to be less confrontational about these matters.
“I’m not approaching you. I’m trying to talk to my boyfriend. I should be able to say how I feel without being scared of you,” she reasoned. He allegedly flipped it and told her he didn’t know why she’d be scared of him, and she pointed out that he often shuts down. She told him she just wanted better communication, and after that, he allegedly stopped replying.
By 9:30 p.m., the man still hadn’t reached her house. At that point, Rolston accepted that he just wasn’t going to hang out with her. “I know I’m no ten, but I’m like a Michigan seven, okay? So, what is wrong with you?” Rolston expressed.
Situationship cancels on her last minute
The next day, she checked her phone. Rolston said that her situationship still hadn’t texted her good morning, but they were set to go to a baseball game later in the day. But when she checked Snapchat, she saw that he was loading up his dirt bikes in his trailer. Rolston viewed his tracker and saw he was driving up north. Because it was raining and he still hadn’t messaged her, she assumed that he was going to tell her that he was canceling their baseball game date.
“Going anywhere?” she messaged him. Rolston claimed he opened the message and didn’t respond. Later at 1:30 in the afternoon, she messaged him again, asking about his plans. Only then did the man supposedly cancel their baseball date, saying that nobody else wanted to go. Rolston asked if he still wanted to do something together, and he said yes.
“I’m all yours,” she messaged him after dropping her kids off. The man said nothing until eight, only telling her he was “headed home.” She thought they could still get drinks even if he was probably going to reach her place at ten. Some time later, she saw from his tracker that he went home, essentially ghosting her for the night. That’s when Rolston stopped waiting up for him.
Rolston said that he didn’t even leave her on read until the next day. Even after viewing her message, Rolston alleged he didn’t message her until she did at 11:30 a.m. He dropped by, but he allegedly didn’t apologize to her. The experience of being ghosted can be frustrating, even for those who aren’t in a relationship yet. But being ghosted by a person who’s already a significant other adds a layer of disappointment and pain.
