Man Claims He Was ‘Catfished’ at a Stranger Photoshoot After Expecting to Meet Future Wife, ‘That’s the Expectation That You Set’

A man on TikTok has accused a photographer of “catfishing” him after he signed up for a stranger photoshoot only to be disappointed with the appearance of the woman who showed up to take part. Jacob Huff put the photographer on blast as he claimed he was hoping to potentially meet his “future wife” at the shoot.
For those who don’t know, a stranger photoshoot is exactly what it sounds like, two strangers meet with a photographer to take part in a couples shoot together despite never having met before. Huff had spoken with the photographer prior to the shoot and had set his expectations for the type of person he wanted to do the shoot with.
The photoshoot itself seemed to go well with the clip being shared to the photographer’s TikTok page this week. However, Huff would later come out complaining.
He was called out by TikToker “ConspiraTea” who shared some of the highlights from Huff’s video as well as providing her own rebuttal.
It seems the man was under the impression that this shoot would be sort of like a blind date and it’s clear from his video, (which has since been deleted and re-posted by other accounts on TikTok), that he was hoping to meet his future wife there. He had even sent the photographer a picture of him with an A.I. generated woman standing next to him to give an idea of the type of woman he was expecting.
TikTok responds to Jacob Huff
During and immediately after the photoshoot Huff seemed to be cool with the fact that his partner for the shoot did not meet his wild expectations. However, he soon switched up and revealed his more unhinged side with a video posted to TikTok which told a completely different story. Most agreed that he had set himself up to fail by expecting to find his wife at the shoot, “that’s the expectation that you set” ConspiraTea says in her video.
The photographer never promised to fulfil his bizarre wish to pair him with a slim, blonde, like the A.I. generated picture he had provided. And yet, Huff seems to truly believe that he was catfished despite never having seen a photo of the real woman he was to do the shoot with. Huff initially claims that there was nothing wrong with the real woman, whose name is Paige, before going on to insult her over her weight.
Paige did make a response video to the situation but it has since been taken down. Most on TikTok were quick to call out his childish and entitled mindset as well as point out he’s no spring chicken himself. It’s clear that all of Huff’s complaints about his experience come from him expecting the photoshoot to be something that it was never meant to be, “Did he think this was an arranged marriage? It’s literally a photo shoot.” wrote one commenter.
In the future maybe Huff could look for a partner at an event designed for such a purpose, i.e. speed dating, or an actual blind date, like the rest of us. But then again, judging by the way he talks about women perhaps it’s best he stay single for now.
