Woman Leaves a Poor Review After Staying in a Dirty Airbnb in Scottsdale, Then the Host Gets Her Friend’s Account Deleted: ‘There’s No Way Dude’
Holiday gone wrong

TikTok user @rachstocker posted a video on her profile sharing her experience staying at an Airbnb property during a weekend trip to Scottsdale with her boyfriend and a few close friends. Rach explained they went there to attend the Waste Management Open, which she called the “best weekend.” However, she mentioned it could have been even better if the property they stayed in hadn’t been so disappointing.
In her TikTok video, @rachstocker said she and her boyfriend were the first to arrive at their Airbnb property in Scottsdale. She noted that, almost immediately after arriving, she saw items scattered around the house, including supplies. She also allegedly saw that the floor was dirty and that outside (where there was supposed to be an oasis-like area), items that shouldn’t have been there were just lying around. Additionally, she said that when she went to take a bath, she said a towel she had placed on the bed had become stained, though it was unclear how.
TikTok user @rachstocker is shocked by her Airbnb experience
As previously mentioned, TikTok user @rachstocker uploaded a video to her profile on March 6, 2026, where she detailed her disappointing experience with an Airbnb property in Scottsdale, where she was staying with her boyfriend and friends. She said in her video that, besides finding the floors dirty, supplies and unnecessary items lying around the house and outside, she also discovered the towels provided were dirty.
Highlighting how she found the towels to be dirty, Rach mentioned that when she picked one up from the bed of the room she and her boyfriend were staying in and went to take a bath, she noticed they were stained and unclean. She also said that when she looked around the bathroom, she saw dead bugs on the ceiling and some hair stuck there. Rach added that she put the dirty towels in for washing and used towels from another couple. Then, her friends started arriving one by one. She revealed that when one of the couples arrived later and tried to use the bathroom, they found there was no hot water. Rach mentioned that she showed all these issues to the Airbnb host and shared screenshots of their conversation in the video.
Rach also mentioned that the exterior of the property, which initially attracted her and others, was also lacking in several ways. For example, she said she was excited to use the outdoor fireplace but found it wasn’t working. She said she complained to the owner but didn’t get a satisfying response. She also said that when they tried to turn on the heat inside the room, the power went out, even while they were still barbecuing outside. Rach credited the owner for sending quick help when the power went out, but noted that, because of all the other issues, she didn’t feel too grateful about the prompt electricity repair.
In her video, Rach then talks about what she considers the craziest part of their trip. She mentions that after staying at the property, the owner urged them to leave a positive review. When they said they couldn’t do that, he asked them several questions. Rach claimed the management company and owner repeatedly contacted her friend and asked him to remove the negative review. They also apparently offered compensation, but her friend refused.
Rach then reveals that two hours after her friend left the review, the owner accused him and the others of damaging the fireplace and leaving towels dirty, demanding monetary compensation. Rach denied the claims, saying the fireplace had already been broken and the towels were dirty before the group used them. Her friend immediately declined to pay. She said her friend then began receiving Airbnb verification codes, which they believed suggested an unauthorized attempt to access his account.
Finally, Rach shares that her friend received a message from Airbnb support thanking him for calling and informed him that they would be processing and deleting his review soon. Rach alleged that the message led them to believe someone may have contacted Airbnb support while pretending to be her friend in an attempt to have the review removed. “Crazy. They’re crazy,” Rach concludes, describing the whole incident.

How to complain on Airbnb
Complaining about something on Airbnb is pretty simple. On the app, you will find a feedback form where you can submit your complaint, and someone will respond to you as soon as possible. Additionally, you can contact the host of the property directly to discuss the issue or issues you encountered.
If neither of these options works, you can leave a review for the property detailing the problems you faced. You may also choose to use all three options if you feel it’s necessary.
