Crispin Glover Is Refuting the Allegations Against Him: “A Shakedown”

Back to the Future and American Gods star Crispin Glover is refuting allegations that he kept his ex-girlfriend “held captive and used for sex and free labor.” The case, between Glover and a 30-year-old former model from the United Kingdom, made headlines earlier this year… but Glover is now referring to the ordeal as a “shakedown” centered around “patently and provably false” allegations.
Earlier this week, Entertainment Weekly obtained documents that Glover’s legal team filed with the Los Angeles Superior Court on June 3rd. In the documents, Glover files a cross-complaint against the Jane Doe, referring to her behavior as “willful, fraudulent, oppressive, and malicious,” and accusing her of assault, battery, intrusion into private affairs, and unlawful trespass. The documents reportedly contain texts, photos, and a copy of an alleged restraining order Glover filed against the woman in March of this year. Glover requests that the “malicious prosecution clause for action” be taken out of Jane Doe’s complaint against him, and also demands that the case be taken to a jury trial.
Glover claims that, after Jane Doe initially contacted him online in 2015, they began a “brief romantic relationship” in 2023. Glover now believes the relationship to be transactional, with her seeing him as an “individual with means [who] could help her to finance her life.” He alleges that their relationship took a turn for the worst in early 2024 when she began to act “erratically” after Glover refused “to deceive others by saying that [they] were married in an Islamic ceremony.” She and an “unknown man” allegedly arrived at Glover’s house the next day and “verbally and physically attacked” him.
According to Glover’s recounting of the events, Jane Doe was arrested after this incident, but a temporary restraining order was “unable to” be served because she disappeared after being released from custody.
“Instead of taking accountability for her multiple illegal actions in February-March 2024, Plaintiff has made up false allegations in retaliation, and, I believe, to manufacture a lawsuit in an attempt to damage me and extract money from me,” Glover says in the documents, going on to allege that her lawyers contacted him in September of 2025 requesting “an unspecified amount of money to prevent legal action against me.”
What Is Crispin Glover Accused Of?
Earlier this year, Jane Doe accused Glover of battery, fraud, wrongful eviction, malicious prosecution, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and violations of the Tom Bane Civil Rights Act. She claimed that, after years of him making “strange advances” to get her to visit him in Los Angeles, the pair met in person in Dresden, Germany in 2023, where he showed off pieces of Nazi memorabilia from his personal collection.
She eventually moved to Los Angeles around the start of 2024, admitting in the filings that Glover “groomed Jane Doe with promises of a new life where she could start over and have a career in the entertainment industry through some sort of business relationship with him.” While she initially made the move under the pretense of becoming his assistant, she alleges that he actually “wanted to control her actions and track her whereabouts and basically serve him as a live in girlfriend/sex slave.”
Doe alleges that, when she attempted to not comply with Glover’s “increasingly bizarre and inappropriate demands,” Glover made moves that led to her being unlawfully evicted. More specifically, in March of 2024, he locked her out of his house and left her “homeless” after she left on her own volition to attend services at a local mosque.
Doe then attempted to get her cats from Glover’s home, which led to him allegedly grabbing her by the neck and putting her in a headlock. This allegedly left a “visible wound and scar on her neck”, an alleged photo of which has been obtained by The Daily Mail. He then called the police on her and filed a “fraudulent” restraining order against her. Jane Doe also requested that the case go before a jury trial, but a date has not been set at this time.
“Mr. Glover denies these baseless allegations in the strongest possible terms,” Glover’s lawyer said in a statement when these allegations first went public. “The reality is that on March 2, 2024, Mr. Glover was the victim of an unprovoked felony assault by Jane Doe at his Los Angeles residence. Mr. Glover called LAPD, which came to the scene, investigated, and arrested Jane Doe. These facts are documented by law enforcement records and by the restraining order filed by Mr. Glover against Jane Doe at that time. Mr. Glover intends to vigorously defend himself and pursue all available relief. He is confident the judicial process will expose this lawsuit as a meritless fabrication.”
