South Carolina woman orders chicken gnocchi soup from Olive Garden. Then she sees what she got for $20: ‘I do this all the time’

An Olive Garden hack could get you a meal big enough to feed a family of six. One South Carolina woman shared the deal in a viral video.
The clip, shared by content creator Crystal Foster (@crylynn96) amassed 1.3 million views as of Thursday morning.
“You guys know that for $20 you can get a big chicken gnocchi soup from Olive Garden?” she said while eating the soup in front of viewers.
“And they give you a big serving spoon for it,” she added.
Does Olive Garden sell family-size soups?
According to Olive Garden’s website, the Italian eatery does serve individual and family-sized soups.
Its soups come in three different sizes.
Customers can purchase an individual bowl for $8.49, a size that serves 6 for $19.99, and the larger size that can feed a party of 12 for $31.99.
These prices can vary based on location, so it’s important to check local menus before ordering.
What are the nutritional facts?
It appeared that Foster had no plans to share the soup she purchased with six serving sizes.
While recording the video, she slurped the soup directly from the bowl with the ladle it came with.
However, undoubtedly the family-sized meal is packed with calories and sodium.
The “serves 6”, family-sized soup has 1,870 calories.
The amount of sodium in it is even more problematic.
The tub of soup has a whopping 10,280 mg of sodium.
The American Heart Association recommends adults limit daily sodium intake to less than 2,300 mg. For optimal heart and blood pressure management, less than 1,500 mg is recommended.
Commenters celebrate the hack
In the video’s comments section, many celebrated the information about the size of the soup and its cost.
“I am NOT using my free will enough!” one user said wrote.
“Going tmrw thanks sis,” user ? one commented.
“I’m pregnant & this is PURE ESSENTIAL knowledge,” another wrote.
Other users appeared to also be open to eating the large soup all on their own.
“I think you meant to say it “Can” feed 6 people. it doesnt have to,” user KeiKisano commented.
“Someone measure my back I think I can count as the 6 people,” user Aubrey wrote.
Ultimately, some viewers also had an important question.
“But does it come with the breadsticks?!?!?” user Cutiewiddabooty3 asked.
Breadsticks are sold separately and cost $4.49 for a dozen.
Some viewers also pointed out that the deal may offer better value than ordering multiple individual bowls of soup.
A worker at the chain also highlighted the restaurant’s “never-ending” soup, salad and breadsticks deal.
“I work there and I forgot we did gallons and half gallons… Were also very serious about never-ending soup, salad, and breadsticks. You could literally come in and get as many soups and breadsticks as you want and if your locations REALLY chill they might give you multiple to-go soups and breadstick bags,” user Ludus System wrote.
While not everyone was convinced they could finish a six-serving container alone, commenters largely agreed that the amount of food provided for $19.99 was surprisingly generous compared to many fast-food and casual dining options.
