Uber Driver Stresses Over Cheating Work Husband Passenger: ‘This Is the Smoothest Shit I Ever Heard!’

There are stories on TikTok where the sirens blare louder as they progress—this Uber driver’s story time is one of those cases. During one ride, the driver tuned into an argument between a man and his wife. The man was cheating with a “work wife.” While most would like to believe that the couple split by the end of the ordeal, what the driver heard threw him into a frenzy.
Unc’s Confessions (@uncs_confessions) on TikTok relays stories about his passengers on Uber. Although he’s shared tons of juicy stories about relationships before, he called the man he recently dropped off “the smoothest” cheater he’s ever encountered.
Unc said that the man was caught by his wife cheating on her with a lady from work. The driver said that he was looking over the man’s expression, and he claims he didn’t look nervous or worried by the allegations. Unc knew that things were about to go down from here on out, so he did the most reasonable thing anyone could do in that situation: turn the music down and listen in.
Work husbands and work wives are real
After the wife’s four-minute speech, the man didn’t even try to hide his infidelity. He simply confessed to sleeping with a workmate every other Saturday night for over six months. The cheating usually occurred during work trips.
The wife asked the cheating husband, “How could you do this to me and your children?”
The husband replied, “Don’t throw our children into this. You all are my family, you all are my life. My world depends on you all.”
Unc was floored by the man’s segue. Clearly, the husband did something that will inevitably affect the family, but he’s trying to minimize accountability. Nevertheless, Unc continued listening in.
The wife, unconvinced, asked him again, “How could you sit here, in the same breath, tell me you’ve been cheating, and tell me that me and your kids mean the world to you?”
He said, “Because it’s something I wanted to do. I’m not going to lie and say you made me do it.” The cheater explained, “Sweetheart, me and her have been working side by side for two years.” Unc said that the cheater said that he and the woman had a “work husband” or “work wife” situation. Regardless, the man started defending his infidelity partner to his wife—as if that makes the situation any better.
Despite all this, the cheater still managed to say, “But I want you to understand something. You and the kids are my world. The home that we built together is everything to me, and I don’t want to lose it.”
Unc was so shocked by it. He said, “This is the smoothest shit I ever heard!” What makes the situation worse is that Unc believes that the cheater was getting through to his wife. After the “romantic” spiel, the wife was more subdued.
At least he knows how to thank Uber drivers?
Unc thought there was no way this man could save his relationship. But what happened left his jaw hanging—the cheater suggested his wife go on a solo trip.
“You need to meet a gentleman who’s going to give you what you need, sweetheart,” the cheater suggested. From the context, maybe he wanted her to get even with him to ease his moral culpability.
When asked by his wife if he fell in love with his cheating partner, he hesitated for a few seconds. Then, he said, “I don’t know. I question myself about the same thing.”
That confession would have broken most, if not all, marriages at this point. Unc definitely thought so—he was sure that the woman would hang up. Instead, she only asked him not to come home. For some reason, the cheater reasoned out that it’s why his wife needed to go on a trip. He said it’s so that she can have space and satisfy herself away from him.
Before hanging up, the cheater said, “I’ve always loved you, and I always will.” Miraculously, he was still able to go home. When he got to his house, he turned to Unc and said, “I want to thank you for that ride.”
At least the man knew how to say thank you—but for the stress he caused Unc? He should have left the Uber driver a hefty tip.
