A Woman’s New MAGA Tattoo Has Many Online Asking “Why Does She Have Nathan Lane on Her Back?”
This tattoo is like one of those photos where every time you look, you find something new that is worse than before. Posted on X by anti-MAGA troll account Gary Peterson, the photo quickly took off, with one user quoting the post and saying, “Why does she have Nathan Lane on her back?”
It is the question that we all are asking, to be honest. It looks nothing like Trump, and bears far too much of a resemblance to be anything other than an actual rending of Lane. Could somebody have consciously chosen that? Or could their artist simply have been incredibly misinformed?
The truth, however, is that this image is AI, as users online have pointed out through various platforms. Nathan Lane is, fortunately, marked safe from permanently being mistaken for Trump every time somebody sees this woman’s tattoo.

The worst part, however, is that the tattoo itself is not AI. No! The tattoo itself–just with an actual Trump likeness–is real. Backwards American flag and the flag of the MANGA republic and all. A user on Threads posted the original image along with an explanation:
“Ok I searched the image. The tattoo itself is real but someone altered it to obviously look like Nathan Lane. Which is funny. And I’m sure we’re going to a whole slew of different versions with various faces. I’d like to see one with a Jimmy Kimmel face! Posting the original here. The likeness of the cretin isn’t bad, but as you see, the other stupidity is real.”
I have to agree with them. This should become a meme template, with various anti-Trump celebrities and figures photoshopped over him. It perfectly encapsulates everything that makes every waking day in this country a headache.
Peterson is a legendary troll account. Just last month they posted another image that went viral, this time an AI-generated image of the Pope, Trump looking very Sherlockian, and Jesus looking like Jared Leto as a cop, for some reason. Countless people fell for that image as well.
To all of this I say: Keep it up, random citizen posing as Gary Peterson the MAGA supporter. It’s because of heroes like you that the internet remains bearable.
