‘His messages are consistently deranged’: In things that never happened, Trump accuses Pope Leo XIV of promoting Iran having nuclear weapons

Over the years, Donald Trump has built a reputation for speaking without filters about others. More often than not, among three facts, he occasionally slips in three things that have never happened. A video currently gaining traction on social media from Trump’s recent interaction with the press at the Oval Office is proof of this.
In this video, Trump is basically accusing Pope Leo XIV, the head of the Catholic Church, of saying something he hasn’t, while also talking about something he actually said, and in doing so, painting him in a negative light publicly.
Donald Trump accuses Pope Leo XIV of promoting nuclear warfare
As previously mentioned, a clip of Donald Trump from his recent appearance at the White House is circulating and raising questions about his honesty while discussing serious matters. In the video, he talks about Pope Leo XIV and claims that he opposes the war the United States is waging in Iran. He doesn’t stop there. He goes further and says that Pope Leo XIV wants Iran to have nuclear power, something he has never said or even implied, to say the least.
Having said that, Pope Leo XIV has indeed criticized the United States for attacking Iran and continuing to subject it to horrific treatment in an alleged effort to prevent Iran from attacking the US or possessing nuclear weapons. He has voiced this concern multiple times, not just once or twice. More recently, on April 7, 2026, Pope Leo XIV delivered one of his most elaborate statements about the ongoing Iran-US conflict to a group of journalists waiting outside Villa Barberini. He said, “Today, as we all know, there has also been this threat against the entire people of Iran. And this is truly unacceptable! There are certainly issues of international law here, but even more, it is a moral question concerning the good of the people as a whole, in its entirety.”
In other news, the Iranian Embassy brutally roasted Karoline Leavitt
On May 7, 2026, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt announced on social media that she had welcomed a daughter who was healthy and that her brother was adjusting well to his new sister.
The Iranian Embassy of Armenia seized this moment to criticize Leavitt for her hypocrisy and double standards, while also congratulating her on the arrival of her daughter. Sharing her story, the official X account of the Iranian Embassy in Armenia, while referencing the school children killed in Minab by joint US and Israeli airstrikes, wrote, “Congratulations to you. Children are innocent and lovable. Those 168 children that your boss killed in the school in Minab, and you justified, were also children. When you kiss your baby, think of the mothers of those children.”
