‘Ask a psychiatrist’: Nancy Pelosi didn’t need a teleprompter to handle the Trump-Jesus question

Over the past few days, the internet has been buzzing with discussions about United States President Donald Trump’s latest stunt, which has mostly backfired on him. The stunt involved him uploading an AI-generated image of himself on Truth Social on April 13, 2026, where many said he was depicted as Jesus healing someone with his powers. The post came shortly after he released a lengthy message criticizing Pope Leo XIV, who has remained firm in his anti-war stance that also extends to the one currently being waged by the United States against Iran.

As expected, many people criticized Trump’s decision to post the image. Among them is former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who was recently asked to share her thoughts on the incident. Pelosi openly stated that Trump’s situation in this case did not call for a discussion but a diagnosis. She also mentioned that a psychiatrist would be better suited to address questions about Trump’s state of mind. Mic Drop!!

Nancy Pelosi refuses to play ‘psychiatrist’ and entertain Trump

At a recent event, Nancy Pelosi was asked to comment on Donald Trump’s Truth Social post, in which he seemingly depicted himself as Jesus curing people. The first thing she said when asked was that it should have been addressed to a psychiatrist, not her, because it is not her area of expertise. She also emphasized that, as a Catholic herself, she believes Trump’s behavior in this specific case is not worth discussing.

Here’s what she said, “You’d have to ask a psychiatrist. As a devout Catholic and the rest and I wear these bracelets that say faith and charity. If you believe in the goodness of the American people, that gives people hope. And then very prayerfully I wear these. And when I see the president put himself in a, I can’t even speak, you said it, but then he has like flames coming out of his hands like he’s some kind. It isn’t even worthy of a conversation. It’s really worthy of a diagnosis.”

Donald Trump deleted controversial photo of himself depicted as Jesus

After facing significant backlash from netizens over sharing an AI-generated image of himself on Truth Social on Monday, in which he is seemingly depicted as Jesus, Trump appeared before the press and clarified the context of the image. He said that when he shared the image, he initially thought he was depicted as a doctor, and the image related to the Red Cross that the U.S. government supports. He emphasized the doctor angle again later in the conversation, essentially saying that portraying himself as a doctor was justified because he made “people better.”

Trump also mentioned that the narrative about him being depicted as Jesus in the image he posted on Truth Social is a creation of the “fake news media.”
