‘Please keep bombing’: Say what now? Trump claims Iranians are urging him to keep bombing them to free them

The response from Americans to Donald Trump’s attacks on Iran has mostly been negative. That said, some people are continuing to show unwavering loyalty to him, for reasons only they understand. However, that might be about to change based on what Trump recently said about Iran and its people, and if it doesn’t, no one truly knows what will.
At a recent press conference aimed at addressing rising tensions between the United States and Iran, a journalist asked Trump to clarify some of his past comments he made about Iranians, especially the one where he said they would be “mad” if Trump stopped the attacks on Iran. Offering an explanation to his comment, Trump stated that the people of Iran would be willing to suffer to gain freedom, implying that they are okay with being bombed and destroyed.
Donald Trump says Iran is willing to get bombed for freedom
As mentioned earlier, during a recent press conference, Donald Trump was asked to clarify some comments he previously made about Iranians. He essentially stated that they were okay with Trump and the United States attacking them, as long as it secured their future freedom. It should be noted that there is no evidence that Iranians are saying such things, and even if they are, they have not been publicly reported enough to warrant discussion.
Anyway, he also made some additional statements in this context, which are again quite confusing. For instance, he said, “They would be willing to suffer that in order to have freedom…The Iranians have, and we’ve had numerous intercepts. ‘Please keep bombing,’ bombs that are dropping near their homes. ‘Please keep bombing. Do it.’ And these are people that are living where the bombs are exploding. And when we leave and we’re not hitting those areas, they’re saying, ‘Please come back. Come back. Come back.’ These are the people…They have lived in a world that you know nothing about. It’s a violent, horrible world where if you protest, you are shot.”
Trump’s threats against Iran reach new levels
After posting on Truth Social on April 5, 2026, claiming he would bomb power plants and bridges in Iran if they did not open the Strait of Hormuz for the United States, Trump came forward with a new set of threats for Iran on April 7, 2026.
An important excerpt from his post on Truth Social read, “A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again. I don’t want that to happen, but it probably will… We will find out tonight, one of the most important moments in the long and complex history of the World. 47 years of extortion, corruption, and death, will finally end. God Bless the Great People of Iran!” Honestly, it’s shocking to think that the President of one of the world’s largest economies is openly threatening another country like this.
