A woman thought that she met her soulmate at an Alabama bar after a swift, active rodeo dance. Then TikTok stepped in and let her know he’s probably married.

TikToker Mikala West posted a clip of her friend after she went line dancing at a local venue in Huntsville, Alabama. She initially created the video because she wanted to reunite with her friend with her “soulmate,” taking a chance to let TikTok do its thing. But, when the TikTok went mega viral, amassing 16.8 million views within two days, they realized that Mike wasn’t exactly soulmate material.

That’s mainly because “Mike” has a wife, who allegedly commented on the video and shared that he is already supposed to have a soulmate—her. The extremely awkward and horrifying situation spells out disaster for Mike because his actual wife is now trying to navigate what to do after seeing the post. Commenters, too, shared that they had seen him at different events across the U.S. South, and that he had been kissing women and actively cheating on her.

Who’s ‘Mike?’

When West originally posted her viral TikTok, it was with good intentions. Her friend had met a man named “Mike” at a bar in Huntsville, Alabama. They ended up chatting to each other right after the lineman rodeo and making a connection.

But West’s friend only learned one or two notable things about the man. For one, his friends called him “Mike.” She also noted that his friends said his name like the birds in Finding Nemo. West ended up referencing the movie in her description, writing “P. Sherman 42 Wallaby Way, Sydney,” as a semi-secret message to the man.

But, West and her friend probably didn’t expect to see that “Nemo” already had a home. Mike was pretending as though he didn’t, but viewers provided multiple pictures of him kissing other women in the video’s comment section.

Mike’s real identity—a husband and not a wanderer

It turns out that multiple alleged family members who knew Mike were able to identify him from West’s video. Alongside that, West had also been identified at other events hugging, kissing, and entertaining different women.

One viewer who allegedly identified the man as being in Florida only a few weeks prior to West’s post.  “Saw this dude at a county concert in Sanford FL a couple Fridays ago,” they said. “Me and my friend were talking about how we should take a video of him for TikTok to find his wife…. And now he’s on my FYP.”

Laura, Mike’s alleged wife, responded to the post and said, “My life has been completely turned upside down and I’ve NEVER been in a situation like this. My faith will carry me through this. I won’t be checking my updates anymore. Thank you to everyone for your loving, encouraging words and prayers. Please keep them coming as I’m in absolute shambles. Spending time healing and being with my kids. God bless.”

Commenters mentioned that they weren’t surprised that Mike had a wife and family back home. The moment that they read the word “lineman” they knew it was a possibility. But, it doesn’t seem as though many other people in Mike’s inner circle did. At least, he seemed to blindside his family and some close friends.
