Jon Ossoff blasts Trump, calls him out for insensitive handling of American service member deaths in Iran war

Amidst the United States’ ongoing war with Iran, which the former started unprovoked, the official X (formerly Twitter) page of The White House has been working overtime to hail Donald Trump’s Operation Epic Fury as a huge success. In an effort to do the same, the page has been posting about the event periodically, and it did so on March 12, 2026, as well without anticipating any pushback. However, they faced considerable opposition.
A significant number of Americans are unhappy with Trump’s actions in Iran. Almost everyone, besides his supporters, who will essentially be removed from their positions if they speak against the Dorito Dictator, has voiced opposition. Even people who voted for him have emphasised that the move was unnecessary and conflicted with his “America first” policies, which he campaigned on during the elections. While Republican criticism of Trump continues to grow in light of his recent decisions, Democrat disdain for him is stronger than ever, and this time, the one making the headlines is Senator Jon Ossoff from Georgia. At a recent event, Ossoff called out the Trump administration for its insensitive handling of US service member deaths in Iran in a video uploaded by the official X page of the White House.
Senator Jon Ossoff blasts Trump and the White House
As previously noted, while speaking at an event, Democrat Senator Jon Ossoff referenced a post made by the official X account of The White House on March 12, 2026. The post included a video that combined clips from various games such as golf, baseball, and boxing, with footage of soldiers hitting targets in Iran.
Regarding the video, Ossoff criticised its insensitivity and stated, “Last night the White House put a video on social media that depicted this war as a video game… When American service members killed in action are returning to the United States in flag-draped coffins, and even more Americans have lost limbs or suffered terrible brain injuries or are fighting for their lives, this White House treats war like a game. It’s a disgrace. And it speaks to the moral rot of this administration.”
Americans are expressing their fury over Operation Epic Fury
In the comments section of the video uploaded by the White House, which depicts the US’s strikes on Iran in a game format, thousands of Americans have expressed their unhappiness with Trump’s actions. As of this writing, the post has approximately 23K comments, and most of them are negative.
While some people are hurling abuses at Trump in the comments section, complaining about rising prices of gas, rent, housing, medical expenses, etc., others are accusing him of using Iran as a diversion to shift focus from the Jeffrey Epstein case and his notorious files that could implicate several billionaires. Yet some others are calling for Trump to be impeached before he causes further damage to America.
