A gas station worker notices the drinks customers pick and draws conclusions about what that means for their personalities. However, women who order this type of beer draw the most attention.
In a video with over 600,000 views, TikToker Christian Trey (@christiantreygallimore) sits in the back office of the unnamed gas station where he works.
“Bruh, it is so [expletive] insane when girls buy beer,” he remarks. “That’s a man drink. What are you buying a beer for?”
He continues that many of the women who come into the gas station opt for Bud Light instead of a “cute beer.”
“I’m like, girl, that is so scary,” he jokes. The caption reads, “I just know they be beating their husbands.”
How do men react when women order beer?
While beer is stereotypically a drink enjoyed by men, some women enjoy it more than “girly” cocktails. However, their choice doesn’t come without judgment.
One woman in the r/AskMen subreddit stresses over whether ordering a beer in front of a crush would be a “turn off.” Men share split opinions on her beverage choice.
“Depending on the guy, yes. Beer is a masculine drink. Some men see ANY masculinity in women as unattractive,” one says.
Another jokes, “If it’s a good beer, no problem. If it’s a cheap beer, no problem. If she don’t drink the beer, we got a problem.”
One member of the subreddit says that he can tell whether a woman is an authentic beer lover or not, and it matters. He writes, “Whenever a woman does anything with confidence and authenticity it’s a turn on. If she enjoys beer, absolutely. If she’s posing as if she likes beer, totally opposite.”
