Here comes the reckoning: Donald Trump lover learns the hard way after ICE takes their partner
A lot of people voted for Donald Trump during the 2024 elections, which is why he is now the President of the United States. However, since he assumed power last year for a second term, a lot of people who supported him and were responsible for his win have openly said that they regret their decision. Almost all of them are people who have been directly impacted by Trump’s actions since last year.
Yet another MAGA supporter is expressing his grievances towards Donald Trump and publicly stating that he regrets voting for him in the previous election and vowing never to vote Republican again. The individual’s name is Wayne DeMario, and he is from South Florida. Speaking to reporters on Local10 News, Wayne revealed that his partner of 20 years, Yamile Alcantu, had been taken away by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and would be deported back to Cuba. Speaking about his partner, who, like him, was a staunch Republican and a Trump supporter, he said, “She prayed for him.”

Wayne DeMario did not think he would have to face the consequences of his actions, that he would be affected by the policies of the same person he helped bring to power, but here is, several months after Trump became president for a second time, asking people to treat him humanely during a difficult time in his life. Talking about his partner, Wayne, while speaking to Local10 News, revealed that she was “kidnapped” by ICE agents “They grabbed her, put her in shackles and chains,” he said. He also mentioned that Yamile Alcantu’s cause of detainment was a deportation order she had received back in 2008 after she was found to be in possesion three Xanax pills.
Speaking of regretting his past voting decisions and receiving pushback from people about the same, Wayne said, “I didn’t vote for this, but I definitely voted Republican.” He also shared that he believed the immigrant crackdown measures would be conducted more methodically and that he was thoroughly disappointed to learn that they weren’t. He said, “I really thought this was just going to be something more organized, but it’s obviously not. They just blanket everybody.”
Wayne DeMario is aware of the criticism he is receiving for his politics
Wayne DeMario’s girlfriend, Yamile Alcantu, has been in ICE detention for eight months, and the same has emotionally broken him. In the video where he is speaking with Local10 News, he highlighted that he has cried several times since Alcantu was detained. Even while speaking, he tearfully remarked while addressing Trump, “Please get her home. Please, she does not deserve this. She is the sweetest person, and she prayed for you.”
In his interview, Wayne also acknowledged the criticism he is receiving from the people who are accusing him of double standards and said that he was sorry for his actions and that he didn’t realise that something like this would happen. Adding to that, he said, it was less about “left or right” and more about “right and wrong” at this point.
