‘We’re definitely in a glitching simulation’: Donald Trump just got awarded with a made-up prize after months of complaining
Donald Trump has always been clear about what he wants, and one thing he has desired from the bottom of his heart since becoming president of the United States is to win a Nobel Peace Prize. On multiple occasions, he has bragged about stopping “eight wars” and why that makes him the most eligible candidate to win the coveted award.
Donald Trump is finally getting what he has been asking for so long. He is getting a Peace Prize. No, he is not getting the Nobel Peace Prize, but rather a made-up one: the Fifa Peace Prize, one especially created to cater to his massive ego. The one giving it? Gianni Infantino, FIFA President, whose decision-making skills, at least in this aspect, for the lack of a better term, are questionable. What did Trump get as a prize, you ask? He got a trophy and a medal.
The trophy is designed in such a way that it looks more like the hands are dragging the earth depicted above to the ground rather than holding the earth above, and if you really think about who it is being awarded to, then it makes sense, although it might not have been the intended goal. And the medal? Well, Donald Trump put it on himself, leading to a meme fest on social media with people sharing the very popular meme where individuals put medals on themselves, signifying them being their biggest cheerleaders or, in this case, the biggest narcissist there is. Many couldn’t help but notice that Trump didn’t look particularly happy receiving the award. I mean, he did smile while taking photographs and occasionally at other moments, but it felt like getting a made-up prize instead of the actual Nobel Peace Prize was not sitting well with him.
Having said that, the medal-wearing meme is not the only thing circulating on social media about the incident, as on platforms such as X (formerly Twitter), there is a lot that people have to say. From shock and surprise to absolute disbelief, people on the platform have a wide range of reactions to the incident. Trump supporters, however, as usual, are all praises for their orange overlord, who can commit no crime in their eyes and continue to shower heaps of praise on him. Others believe that the whole thing is an AI creation and not happening in reality.
