There’s a new series set in the Halo video game universe, and fans have been waiting a while for the show’s debut on Paramount+. Well, the time is nigh, and HALO, the TV show, is nearly upon us. Here’s what to expect from the upcoming series and how and when you can watch it.
Halo game fans will be glad to know that the surroundings and time period of the adaptation remains faithful to the video games. According to Paramount+, the episodic HALO show “will take place in the universe that first came to be in 2001 with the launch of Xbox®’s first “Halo” game.” Familiar characters—and voices—are present, while an accomplished cast promises to maximize the explosive action and drama.
What is the HALO series about?
Following in the footsteps of the games, the series, per Paramount+, will be about “an epic 26th-century conflict between humanity and an alien threat known as the Covenant,” and promises adventure, action, “and a richly imagined vision of the future.”
Who stars in Paramount+’s HALO?
Here’s where I am particularly excited and hopeful about the show. Pablo Schreiber, who was fantastic on American Gods, will star as the Master Chief Spartan-117. Alongside him is Natascha McElhone of Solaris and Californication as Dr. Halsey, who created the Spartan supersoldiers. Video game fans should be thrilled to hear that Jen Taylor, who has long voiced Cortana, returns as the advanced AI’s voice—so everything should sound pitch-perfect.

Where, when, and exactly what time can you watch HALO?
The series debuts on Paramount+ on March 24th, 2022. If you’re on the East Coast, the first two episodes will drop at 3am ET, according to We Got This Covered. For West Coasters, that means you can access the episodes at 12am PT, while those in the middle of the US can start watching at 2am CT.
