Here’s the Exact Time Elden Ring Releases on PC and Consoles

If you're impatient like me, you'll probably want to play Elden Ring the exact moment it releases. Here's when it's coming out and how to play.

The news cycle today is … very bad. I’m personally weathering it with one bit of heartening consolation: Elden Ring releases tonight, February 24th, 2022. It’s my little mantra for the day: “Elden Ring is coming, Elden Ring is coming.” If you’re impatient like me, you’ll probably want to play the game the exact moment it releases. Fortunately, the official Elden Ring Twitter released a map detailing release times on every platform, in every corner of the globe.

You’ll notice the console release times are a little more intuitive than the PC release times. Essentially, no matter where you are in the world, Elden Ring will release on your PlayStation or Xbox on February 25 at midnight local time. The gigantic exception is for those of us in North America: Elden Ring releases at midnight eastern time, which means CT players get access to it at 11:00 PM and those lucky kids on pacific time can play it at 9:00 PM.

Even luckier are those opting to play Elden Ring on PC. For some reason, the game releases on PC today at 6:00 PM ET / 5:00 PM CT / 2:00 PM PT. For non-North American times, I suggest referring to FromSoft’s handy graphic:

Note that you can download the game in full right now, so that you can play it right when it unlocks on your console / PC in your area. I’m literally about to do just that.

Elden Ring has been a huge talking point in the video game world for ages. It’s the newest offering from Hidetaka Miyazaki, the highly respected director behind the Dark Souls series. And to make matters more tantalizing, the core story is by none other than George R.R. Martin, of Game of Thrones fame. I tell you this in case you’re reading this looking for context as to why your friend doesn’t want to hang out tonight.
