The Internet Reacts With Horror and Outrage to Alabama’s Draconian Abortion Bill

Recommended Videos

I don’t know how to put how angry I am into words. I don’t know how not to growl while reading articles and Twitter takes about the Alabama abortion law. I’m furious, I’m outraged, I want to scream “I told you so” at the men who told me I was being “dramatic” about the threat of women’s rights under a Trump presidency.

Alabama’s near-total ban is the most extreme to be introduced in the United States—it makes no exceptions in cases of rape or incest. For many of us, Alabama’s bill, on the heels of Georgia, feels like the 2016 election night all over again.

It’s hard not to feel trapped in a kind of fugue state comprised of equal parts frustration and fury. It’s hard to know what direction to go in or what to do with our anger. Many out there in Twitterland are, thankfully, extremely informed and eloquent about their feelings on this issue, and we thought we’d draw them together here to amplify the message.

It’s a terrifying time to be in this world and I’m angry and I’m going to let everyone know how mad I am and so should you.
